Mark Schlabach over at ESPN.com wrote an interesting article about "What's Next" in 2007 for College Football. For the most part some of his predictions are very interesting - below is his list (in bold), plus some of my thoughts. Got any predictions of your own? Email me: kieran [at] collegefootballfanatics.com.

1. Florida will repeat as national champions -- He is talking about their basketball team, I think they have a good chance but its not a lock. Watch out for LSU.

2. The Trojans will finish on top -- I agree, I don't see anyone with the talent and experiance. This is as close to a lock as you can get.

3. West Virginia will go unbeaten -- If they can get past West Virginia and Louisville they have a shot, mark my words they will lose to Pittsburgh in the last game of the regular season.

4. BYU won't fall off the map -- ehhh I could go either way on this.

5. Sam Keller will thrive at Nebraska -- Yes. With the Zack Attack gone I see Keller, coming in from Arizona State and making a big impact. He has the chance to shine against USC and Texas.

6. Steve Slaton will win the Heisman -- Nope my money is on Darren McFadden.

7. The Crimson Tide will lose three times in September -- No way! I see them losing against Arkansas but they will beat either Georgia or Florida State.

8. Notre Dame will lose at Penn State and Michigan
-- No.  The new Golden Boy Jimmy Clausen will get his signature win against one of these teams.

9. Jimmy Clausen won't win the Heisman Trophy (this year, anyway) -- He might be in NYC for the award ceremony but he will finish 3rd at best.

10. Virginia will be the most improved team in the country --
No, I would give the award to Illinois, Miami or Florida State.

11. Clemson will struggle again -- Dead on, Clemson's schedule is to tough. They are a good team but the cards are stacked up against them.

12. Illinois will upset Michigan -- HA! See my answer to #10! Go Illini!

13. TCU will be this season's Boise State -- TCU? This could happen only because Boise State wont sneak up on anyone.

14. A coach will be fired in Mississippi
-- 50/50 shot so I will say yes.

15. The SEC will dominate, again -- Yes and Yes. No other conference will come close. The Big East? Nope. Big Ten? Nope again! 2007 is all about the SEC.

16. Kentucky and Louisville will rack up a 100-point game -- QB match-up between the Cardinals Brian Brohm and  Kentucky's Andre' Woodson could make this happen.

17. South Florida will upset Auburn -- Come on, I think we are giving the Bulls to much credit, I think it might be a close game but Auburn is to strong.

18. Florida State will rebound; Miami won't -- Yes on half of this and no on the other half. I see both FSU and Miami rebounding. I am not sure how much but they will.

19. Dan Hawkins will lose his mind -- The question is how much worse could Colorado get? I think it is more likely he will quit mid season.

20. TCU will crash the BCS party -- No way! Come on, TCU is a good team but they are not Boise State and they are not a BCS team.
