Here are a few recent (and I mean recent) headlines regarding players at big time programs:

• Illinois' Ellis, McPhearson kicked off after arrests, theft charges
  
  
• South Carolina recruit apologizes for keying professor's car

What is with these kids? Yeah we all have made mistakes and who hasn't don't something stupid but I expect more from star athletes. For example, if you play for a program like Tennessee or South Carolina shouldn't you be held to higher standards of conduct? I am sure these kids were kings of their High School and got away with anything, but now they are playing for nationally covered teams and have to use their heads more! You wont get another shot at a free education or playing for a 1A school again if you get labeled a "trouble maker" and build a rap sheet longer then your college transcript.
