Former Northern Colorado backup punter pleads not guilty to attempted murder, assault

Mitch Cozad is accused of stabbing starting punter Rafael Medoza in his kicking leg on September 11th - the stabbing caused a 3x5 inch gash. Cozad remains free on $500,000 bail. If convicted, he could face up to 48 years in prison.
