Today was the annual Blue and Gold game the
University of Notre Dame plays every year. Because they are the Irish and have a huge following the game is always a great sneak peek at what could lie ahead for the Fighting Irish. However, this year there was a new twist..with the golden boy Brady Quinn gone there is a 4 man competition for the starting QB job. Because this is the most visible position on the most visible college football team all eyes were fixated on sophomores Demetrius Jones and Zac Frazier, junior Evan Sharpley and of course the "new" savior freshman Jimmy Clausen.
So what happened? Nothing. Each QB threw some passes and did what Coach Weiss wanted - which basically means that it is still a 4 man heat. I guess we will have to way a couple more months before COach Weiss makes his decision.
